Architects | Delawie Wilkes Rodrigues Barker endeavors to be a catalyst for its architects and other personnel to be lifelong learners in pursuit of their careers; directing their enthusiasm, energies, talents, training, and education to achieve excellence in architecture.
We strive, year long, to participate in balancing the employee’s work with the employee’s life. Many things go into this participation – tickets to sporting events and the theater are just some of the perks we offer. But we don’t stop there; we strive for active participation.
Some of the events held on a yearly basis are a family picnic at Hospitality Point; a San Diego Padres catered tailgate party for employees, families and guests; and a golf tournament for employees and a guest. The firm also has softball and volleyball teams.
Each year we have two holiday parties. The first party is for the firm and our clients. It provides an atmosphere of “no barriers.” This is an opportunity for everyone to mix and mingle with clients from every level. Our Interns can converse with client Vice-Presidents of Development. Client project coordinators can meet our Officers. The mood is relaxed and always ends with more than one group continuing conversations well into the night.
The second is for the staff only and is held offsite. This is a big affair as well. Employees can interact in a more casual environment. Towards the end of the evening we have a “white elephant” gift exchange. The presents are humorous and often appropriate … for someone.
